Create a new file that would have 1280×1024 px and 100 dpi. It must be painted in black color.
Then select this instrument
to represent a circle in the middle of the picture to be.

Gradient’s parameters:
Blending Options-Stroke
Gradient’s parameters:
The previous applied instrument will be helpful in drawing a smaller circle situated inside of the first one.
Choose the same instrument and try to represent a kind of varnish surface of black color on the disk’s surface. First we have to process the outside edges and then press Alt button to cut out an orifice on the disk.
Start representing the logotype, using this tool
. Click on this option
on the layers and the unnecessary elements must be erased with the appropriate instrument.
Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay
Gradient’s parameters:
Make three copies of the new made layer and make use of the Free Transform option to turn the drawing around the way it is shown on the picture (change the parameters of the gradient according to color). Apply again the eraser if that is necessary.

Select the next tool
and try to draw the next logotype’s layer:
Blending Options-Outer Glow
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay
Gradient’s parameters:
Make a copy of the new made layer and make use again of the Free Transform option to make the copy smaller a little and place it the way it is indicated on the picture. Change its parameters also.
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay
Gradient’s parameters:
Continue by representing the logotype. Use the next tool
and create the fourth part of the famous logotype Windows Vista.
Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options-Outer Glow
Blending Options-Bevel and Emboss
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay
Gradient’s parameters:
Make three copies of the new made layer and make use of Free Transform option again to turn the drawing over when that is necessary. Place the elements the way it is shown next picture (change the parameters according to element’s color).

Write now the disk’s title, being attentive with the inscription’s demands shown in the tables below:
(Microsoft)
(Windows Vista)
(Ultimate)
Now we have to represent a flare on the upper part of the logotype, using the usual instrument
for this operation.
Fill 0% on the layers.
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay
Gradient’s parameters:
Using the last instrument, try to draw a stripe above the logotype, that must look like a flare (represent firstly the gradient and then click on the
option on the layers and erase with the appropriate instrument).
Fill 0% on the layers and set the Opacity on 40%.
Blending Options-Gradient Overlay
Gradient’s parameters:
Make two copies of the new made layer and make use of the Free Transform option to minimize a little each copy and turn them over the way it is indicated on the picture. Change the parameters also. But we shouldn’t apply on the second copy’s layers the next options:
and
.
The first copy:

The second copy:

Select the following tool
to represent the inside circle on the disk (represent firstly the outside borders and then click on the Alt button to cut out an orifice on the central part).
Blending Options-Drop Shadow
Blending Options-Stroke
Gradient’s parameters:
Now we have to merge down in a group all the layers, composing the compact disk. Make a copy of this group and apply the Free Transform option to turn it over as a reflection in the mirror.
Select the next option on the layers
and the instrument from here
of black color to dark out the reflection.
Finished!
