Step-By-Step Instructions to Drawing Penguin:

1. Open a New Document in Photoshop. Set the height/width to 300?300 px.
2. Create a new layer. Name the layer “Penguin”.
3. Select the Polygonal Lasso tool and draw a shape like the one below:

4. Goto Select > Modify Smooth. Set the Sample Radius to 5 pixels. Click OK.
5. Your selection should now be smoother and less blocky.

6. Use the Paint Bucket and fill the selection with black.

7. Create a selection like the one below and click over the black portion of the selection to fill with a tan color.

8. Create a selection like the one below and click over the tan portion of the selection to fill with a lighter tan color.

9. Create a triangle selection for the beak. Fill with an orange color.

10. Create a foot pattern selection at the base of the penguin. Fill with the same orange color from Step 9.

11. Repeat step 10 for the other foot.

12. Create a eye shape selection and fill with white.

13. Zoom in an create a small circular shape selection for the eyeball. Fill with light blue color.

14. When you are done, you should have your penguin!
